The westernmost peak belonging to the Czerwone Wierchów massif in the Western Tatras. Slovak sources state a height of 2090 m. Ciemniak is built of dolomites with thawing of mid-Triassic age limestone, only the Hard Ridge in the upper north-west ridge is covered with hard crystalline rocks. Two hiking trails lead to Ciemniak: - a section of the red trail from Cudakowa Polana in the Kościeliska Valley through Adamica, Polana Upłaz, Chuda Togka and Ciemniak to Kasprowy Wierch and beyond. (Time of transition from Cudakowa Polana to Ciemniak: 3:25 h, ↓ 2:30 h), (Time of transition from Ciemniak to Kasprowy Wierch: 3 h, back 2:55 h), - green through Hard Ridge, Thin Switch, Czerwony Żleb and the Tomanowa Valley to the hostel at Hala Ornak. It runs along the Red Trail to Chuda switching. Time of transition from Ciemniak to Hala Ornak: 2:40 h, ↑ 3:40 h.
